We accept most insurance plans towards payment. We work with most traditional insurance plans such as Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna PPO, MetLife PPO, United Concordia, Guardian and etc. We also accept discount plans such as NorthEast Dental and union plans such as 32BJ, GHI PPO, SIDS, and UFT. Please call us if you do not see your insurance plan listed.
At this time we do not accept Medicaid or any HMO plans due to the fact that these plans do not allow us to deliver the kind of quality treatment our patients deserve. We do have payment plans so don't let your insurance plan limit your access to quality care.
We at Smile Dental of New Rochelle care about your dental health. We send all relevant documentation to insurance companies the same day. Insurance companies care about making money for its executives and utilize many delay tactics.
We urge our patients if they truly care about their dental health, to follow up with phone calls to their insurance companies. Insurance companies will often tell you an excuse such as:
1) We need more x-rays.
2) We never received any claims or pre-determination from the practice.
3) We are still processing your claim/payment.
4) We have denied your treatment
We advise you to take a more pro-active approach and inform them you want dental treatment approved and payments sent in a timely manner. Your insurance coverage is a contract between you and your employer and the practice has no control over it's decisions or actions. We can only submit paperwork and we extend this service free of charge.
